La increíble diversidad de los suelos y el mosaico de cepas hacen de esta región un «destino enológico» por excelencia en el corazón de 3 grandes denominaciones: D.O. Saint Chinian, D.O. Minervois y D.O. del Languedoc y numerosos vinos del país.

Para desentrañar sus secretos, le damos cita en las bodegas de los productores, participe a los paseos enológicos o a los talleres de cata o venga a conocer a los viticultores para tomar «Una copa junto al canal», en el marco excepcional del Canal du Midi, en el puerto de Capestang los martes y jueves por la noche de junio a septiembre.

Château Milhau Lacugue (Puisserguier)

Château Milhau Lacugue is a family owned estate, of Roman origins, located on the road between Puisserguier and Cazedarnes. There, Jean Lacugue cultivates the potential of his terroir and its complex geology. In the cellar or in the vineyards, he presents his story, the story of wine and people of the region, where you can also taste his wide range of vintages from the appellation AOC Saint Chinian, AOC Languedoc , but also some vins de Pays de l’Hérault, some vins des coteaux de Fontcaude, some Cartagène and olive oil.

Domaine Comps (Puisserguier )

In the heart of the medieval village of Puisserguier, Domaine Martin-Comps is a must for visitors.  The Comps family have been winegrowers for many generations.  Wine-related paintings by local artists are on show in the wine cellar. They produce a wide range of wines, from Vins de Pays to AOC Saint Chinian, many of which have won several prizes and appear in the Guide Hachette.

The Domaine de Mairan stands in the heart of the vineyards, facing the rising sun, just a few kilometres from Puisserguier. The Peytavi family have been producing wine here since the end of the XIXth Century and you will be astonished by the fantastic aroma of their top quality wines. Luc Robert loves his terroir passionately and cultivates small vineyards using "reasonable" methods and hand picking.  He is an oenologist and his professionalisme, combined with his love of nature, is reflected in his amazing wines.  Visitors are welcomed to wine tasting sessions in the wine cellar in Puisserguier; Luc and Myriam also regularly organize wine tasting lessons and guided tours of their vineyards and the surrounding garrigue, by appointment.

No puede pasarse la bodega: hay un magnífico dibujo con efecto pintado en la fachada. Representa una viña y una puerta romana, conjugando la historia de ayer y la de hoy. La Finca Pech de Saint-Paul, heredero de tres generaciones de viticultores, produce, sobre 20 hectáreas de viñas, Vinos del País. Presenta una gran diversidad de suelos y de cepas que le permiten elaborar un amplio abanico de cosechas.

Domaine de Pech Menel (Quarante)

En el corazón de la garriga languedociana, en un rincón, cara al sur – se encuentra la finca de Pech-Ménel. Sol de “ensueño” para la viña, en altitud, con inclinación. Posición dominante, de ahí su nombre Pech (cumbre de la colina), Ménel (cielos). Abriéndose una vía entre las piedras, respirando las esencias circundantes de tomillo, romero y lavanda, para revelar un terreno a pleno derecho. Le Domaine de Pech-Ménel se sitúa sobre una eminencia, no lejos del pueblo de Quarante.

Château Saliès (Quarante)

The Château de Saliès is just opposite the pine forest of the Domaine de Roueire, between Capestang and Quarante.  It was built on the site of a Roman villa, Celiano, and the 11th Century Roman chapel was in use up until the revolution.  Sieur Viennet, a member of the Tiers Etat and his descendants owned the Château up to the second half of the 20th Century.  The present owner is Xavier Gombert, a winegrower, who will welcome you by appointment to winetasting and recount the history of the domain and its wines.

Ideally located in Quarante  just 5 km from the  Canal du Midi, the Domaine de la Grange Haute overlooks the plain between Narbonne and Béziers, offering an exceptionnal viewpoint. Hélène Cathala, took over the estate  as the third generation of winemakers, presenting the specificity of her terroir and her wines. Here, vineyards are planted on a chaotic land, where geological strata overlap. This diverse and mineralised soil gives simple, fresh and fruity wines for your aperitifs, meals or barbecues. The domaine produces vins de Pays d'Oc and vins de pays d'Hérault in red, white or rosé.

Saint-Cels is a family affair, first and foremost ... A story that begins in 1970 in the South of France, when Henri Calas, the grandfather, purchases the domaine de Saint-Cels just outside Saint-Chinian. There, he plants Chardonnay and Syrah, grape varieties that are still quite rare in the region. In 1993, Etienne Rouanet, his grandson, takes over the domain and commits to cultivate the vines in a traditional manner, respecting soil ecolgy. The domaine produces red, rosé and white wines, all in AOP Saint-Chinian & IGP Pays d'Oc.
